Good, Good, Good, Good, Good, Good, Good, Not Good

In the beginning

The Bible begins with a poem describing the creation of the world. And throughout its rhythm we are repeatedly reminded of one thing: ”…and it was good.” However, as we turn to the page to the next creation narrative we find the exact opposite, a phrase standing in glaring opposition: “It was not good.”

After seven “goods” we find a lone “not good.” The culprit: being alone. Creation is not made for isolation, but we were made to belong.

We find this simple-yet-profound concept of “life together” in the opening pages of Genesis. And we want it to remain true in your life today. You were not made to live life alone. You were made to live life together.

Life Together

Perhaps you have a community of pastors and leaders and peers you connect with to talk about life and ministry with preteens. Or perhaps you don’t. Either way, you are invited to apply to be a part of a FourFiveSix Peer Group, a monthly group phone call where you live life together, journeying with other preteen pastors and leaders.

Because for all the “good” in Genesis 1, there is a “not good” in Genesis 2. It is not good to be alone. It is good to be a part of a FourFiveSix Peer Group.
