Mechanical Bull

While inflatables will always be great for kids and students of all ages, I am convinced that a mechanical bull is perfect for preteens.  Any younger and it might be too big for them.  Any older and they might be too cool for it  But as preteens, they are just right for a mechanical bull.

It’s big.  So it’s kind of intimidating.  It spins around.  So it’s ridiculously fun.  And you fall off.  So it’s somewhat scary.  But it’s perfectly safe.  They line up, drawn to the idea of actually riding a bull, albeit a mechanical one.  The jump and jump and finally get on the thing.  They spin, they flail, they fall, they love it.

At Mars Hill we had one at our Tuesday night Fifty6 kickoff.  And we will do the same next year.  If you’re able to, I’d recommend you do the same!

(And for the record, letting go of the bike is different from letting go of the bull.  But they are both essential!)
