This week Jim talks with Mike Sheley, the middle school pastor at Mount Pleasant Christian Church in Greenwood, MI. They talk about the identity formation of preteens and how to invite preteens to reflect on the various voices vying for their identity, asking the clever turn of phrase, “Where does your identity lie?” Along the way Mike and Jim come up with a variety of ideas, both practical and theoretical (like the unnecessary makeover to Merida from Brave, and Mike mentions a number of resources (listed below).
